The A244 Hanging Patio Heater is great when you don’t want to take up valuable floor space and you have high enough ceiling to accommodate the unit. Since the overall height of the heater is 41”, we suggest having at least 10 to 12 feet in ceiling height for installation. What we really like is the optional 24 volt transformer, “E-Head”. Once connected to a switchable electrical supply and natural gas, the unit will turn on with anything that turns on/off the electricity (switch, thermostat, timer, etc.). In windy conditions, if the burner flame blows out, the “E-Head” automatically re-ignites the burner. With 50,000 BTU’s, you will get 314 sqft. of comfortable heat. A real timeless winner.
Control Options:
Manual DSI Igntion, 24 Volt Electrical Non-"E" Series Control, or 24 Volt Electrical "E" Series Control 24 Volt Control with Automatic Non "E" Series Ignition or 24 Volt Control with Automatic "E" Series Ignition (both wire to switchable electrical supply)
* While both 24 Volt Controls automatically light the heater at the flip of a switch, the New "E" Series technology takes automatic control to the next level. The "E" Series Control will automatically re-light itself if blown out by the wind. If the Non-"E" Control blows out, electrical supply must be turned off and then turned back on for re-lighting of the heater. The Non-"E" Series Control is useful in very windy climates, so the unit shuts off when it is too windy to operate, thus not trying to re-light itself and continually blowing out.
