Which patio heater is best?

There are quite a lot of heater manufactures out there; a lot of them are from manufacturers in China . Being manufactured in China doesn't make the heater bad, but there are a few things to watch out for.

Is the heater safety tested or certified? Several independent testing laboratories test heaters to ANSI standards that the heaters operate safely, the instructions are clear and manufacturing is kept to a high standard.

Look for heaters that bear the CSA or UL mark. All of our heaters either are CSA or UL approved, with the design and manufacturing control being in the USA .

Why is this important? Trying to get service or parts from an overseas manufacturer, especially when their company name changes so often, can be like pulling teeth. You want your heater to be a carefree extension of your patio.

Also, with outdoor patio heaters, it truly is, you get what you pay for. A less expensive heater might use a poor powder coating process or lower grade stainless steel. Also, the gas components might not be the same as our American standard meaning more outages and breakdowns.
